“Economic restructuring is desperately needed as both physical and emotional decay has never been greater in our communities.” Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan

We recognize that it is time for us to change our economic behavior. In the southern region, there has been a systematic abandonment of the inner cities and rural communities. To build strong communities, we must invest in jobs, businesses and opportunities in these communities.

We are developing ways to make the people owners of the businesses and property in their communities, as shareholders and under profit-sharing plans.

Agriculture - Land

“The farm is the engine of our National life.” - The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan

To have the growth and progress that we must have in our Nation, the acquisition of farmable land is absolutely necessary. The southern region of our Nation consists of Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee. Together, these states cover 196,774 square miles (Land), and according to some research, these four states have the best soil, along with the best year-round weather in which to grow food.

The southern U.S. has plenty of rain and mild winters. In the summer, you can have an early garden and a late garden. During the winter, you can grow fields of turnips, broccoli, cabbage, and other cool-weather crops. There are farmers markets that operate year-round due to the year round growing season.
